India: Demand firm but buyers keep lid on prices

Spot prices for sulphuric acid sales to India were assessed unchanged at $5-10/t CFR, with no recent sales for full cargoes reported outside of this range. Some sources peg prices potentially as high as $15-20/t CFR, particularly as FACT's June 25 purchase tender for 10,000 t was awarded just below $20/t CFR. This was down from its previous 10,000 t lot at $27.50/t CFR. The buyer typically pays more than other buyers in India as it takes smaller volumes for delivery to the west coast rather than the east coast.
