Sulphur prices mostly steady as spot demand slow

Sulphur markets overall remain relatively balanced, as downstream fertilizer production rates and prices are firm but spot appetite is limited, while sulphur availability is picking up from some quarters but also tightening from others. One key development was in contract settlements, as the quarterly Tampa settlement for molten sulphur was finalised this week up $3.50/lt at $57.50/lt FOB. Despite the increase, Mosaic continues to enjoy effectively the lowest sulphur price in the world.
