Suppliers rely on fresh Indian tender to shore up pricing

Urea trade was at a trickle compared with its normal pace with suppliers keenly awaiting news of a fresh Indian import tender. Demand from key regions such as Brazil and Europe is yet to emerge, prompting prices to remain static or slowly drift downwards. Latest information from India suggests that the country’s Department of Fertilizers (DoF) will give the go-ahead to RCF to float a tender next week. This session will follow purchases of 1.795 Mt under MMTC’s August 26 session and strong domestics sales.
