Baltic Sea: Assessment up as availability limited

Spot prices for sulphur exports from the Baltic Sea were assessed up on an indicative at $52- 57/t FOB from $48-53/t FOB following feedback from market participants. Most traders agreed that new sales would likely be in the mid-$50s/t FOB. Previous sales to Brazil were reported in the $40s/t FOB for arrival in the low $70s/t CFR, down from previous sales in mid-March around the upper end of the range. Delivered prices in Brazil have increased to the mid-to-high $70s/t CFR on the most recent business.
