A spot sale of sulphuric acid was concluded to Vietnam at a high single-digit CFR, according to market sources. As reported earlier this month, Malaysian titanium dioxide producer Venator awarded Q2 volumes on its February 20 purchase tenders for 64,000 t of sulphuric acid at prices ranging from around $8/t CFR to around $11/t CFR to different traders. It is understood the buyer is scrapping the Q3 requirements and waiting to re-tender for those volumes. The sessions were comprised of two tenders, each for three 8,000 t lots of acid.
