Incitec Pivot to retain fertilizers business

Australia’s Incitec Pivot Ltd. (IPL) concluded a strategic review of its fertilizers operations and decided to retain the business, the company said in a April 21 statement. Incitec began a review of its fertilizers business in September 2019, citing at the time three options – sale, demerger or retain and invest. IPL concluded that given market uncertainty around the Covid-19 pandemic, the right outcome for shareholders was to keep its fertilizer business and focus on core operations.
