July sales of urea in India through July 8 as recorded by the Department of Fertilizers (DoF) via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) monitoring were 1.13 Mt. These suggest a July 2020 volume well ahead of July 2019 sales of 3.89 Mt. The July sales follow June at 3.36 Mt, up from 1.98 Mt in 2019, and May sales of 2.02 Mt that were almost double the 1.1 Mt in 2019. The April 2020 volume of 1.1 Mt was also ahead of the 804,000 t sold in April 2019.
