Brazil: First half urea imports up 13.4%

Brazilian importers took delivery of close to 2.82 Mt urea in the first half of 2020, up 13.4% on the same months in 2019, according to IHS Markit data. Qatar recaptured the lead with 862,000 t from 315,000 t in the prior year while Algerian arrivals dropped 10.4% to 605,000 t. Russia was up 8.8% to 454,000 t, and Nigeria was ahead 16% to 310,000 t. Saudi Arabia was up to 199,000 t from 42,000 t.
