North Africa: Settlements rumoured but not confirmed

Some contract price agreements for sulphur supply to North Africa in the second quarter of 2020 were reported, but these were not yet confirmed by buyers and sellers. OCP last week indicated that prices were likely to settle from the mid-$50s/t to mid-$60s/t CFR. This would represent increases around $10/t in contract prices for Q2. There were reports that the buyer had settled with Adnoc in the mid-$60s/t CFR, but these were not confirmed. There were also reports of some smaller settlements as high as the $70s/t CFR. Some sources indicated that OCP was declining some of its typical FSU volumes, but this again has not yet been confirmed.
