Activity in granular urea in Egypt has been subdued this week, and efforts by producers to repeat or improve on earlier sales up to $265/t FOB did not succeed. Abu Qir had yet to process awards at the time of writing pursuant to its March 18 tender for the sale of 25,000 t each granular and prilled urea. Details on bids submitted were not available, but suggestions from participants in the session were that proposals above $250/t FOB for the granular had not been made.
