Middle East: More prills sold, but no new granular

Limited prompt demand and continued unwillingness on the part of most traders to secure long positions for late February and beyond still impact trade in granular and prilled urea, but a further cargo of prills traded this week at $235/t FOB from Qatar. There were no new sales of granular reported following the SIUCI sale last week around an even $230/t FOB. Offers at $232/t FOB did not elicit acceptance from buyers, but some interest was reported in a repeat deal at $230/t FOB based on the lower freights currently available from the region.
