Canada: Spot sulphur assessment declines

Spot prices for seaborne sulphur exports from Canada were assessed down on an indicative basis at $50-55/t FOB Vancouver from $57-62/t. There has been a lack of spot sales reported out of Vancouver in recent weeks. Sources indicated that there was sulphur to sell at the port, but sellers were not currently under pressure to shift volumes and were underwhelmed by current market prices.
