Imports of urea in Turkey in the first five months of 2020 included close to 600,000 t registered as originating from Iran (305,000 t) and Oman (291,000 t). These closely matched imports from Egypt at 614,000 t. Total Turkish imports over the months of 1.52 Mt were up 8.2% on 2019 while Egypt’s share dropped by about 3.4%. Imports registered from Oman were ahead from 114,000 t in 2019, while imports officially declared as Iranian origin were down 24%. Turkmenistan arrivals of 101,000 t were off by about 10.4%. Ukraine was ahead to 81,000 t from 19,000 t on the back of increased export output from OPZ, DniproAzot and Ostchem.
