India: First half DAP consumption up 75%

India’s January through June DAP consumption reached 2.7 Mt, up 75% year on year, according to latest FAI data. DAP consumption in June hit 678,000 t, up 124% year on year, amid strong early monsoon rainfall in the country. June DAP production fell 4% year on year to 352,000 t, bringing H1 DAP production in India to 2.0 Mt, down 17% year on year.
