US NOLA: Planting urgency boosts potash prices

Mosaic reported April 10 that it sold granular potash barges at $215/st FOB New Orleans that will be released this week. Granular potash barge prices have begun to benefit from the urgency among Corn Belt farmers to complete pre-plant very much sooner than later. This is the same trend that recently produced big gains in barge and inland prices for DAP/MAP.
