USA: AS demand met with fewer exports, more imports

After nearly two years of flooding, US demand for ammonium sulphate was expected to be up during 2019-2020, and a more than 300,000 st trade swing in favor of US supply was the response. According to the most recent numbers from the US Department of Commerce, US AS exports for April 2020 were 7,750 st (7,031t) down 84% from exports during April 2019. This brought US AS exports during the first 10 months of the US market year through April 30 to 510,680 st (463,286t), a 30% drop from the prior year period.
