India: NPK rates jump, import prices little changed

India’s NPK production rates reached normal levels this week after recovering from a slump in activity after the Covid-19 lockdown was announced in India on March 25. As a result, NPS/NPK purchases from India for April-July import are already set to reach as high as 550,000 t to help cover the lost production, with discussions ongoing for a further 100,000 t at least, according to market sources.
