Signs of sulphur softening but assessments still up

Sulphur prices were mostly firm this week, and some benchmarks were assessed higher again, but there were some signs of softening sentiments, particularly in China. China port prices declined further from the highs reached two weeks ago as buyers were more comfortable and cautious. The published CFR range was unchanged, but most players doubted whether the recent highs in the mid-to-high $80s/t CFR would still be achievable there.
