IPL adds Iranian urea for a 540,000 mt total purchase

Purchasing via the November 22 IPL tender in India reached up to 540,000 mt from traditional suppliers this week with the late addition of 100,000 mt Iranian granular from Emmsons. The total largely matches the quantity authorized by the Department of Fertilizers (DoF) for the trading session and may close the tender. An award to newcomer Nemrac that offered 300,000 mt FSU material may also ensue, but timely execution of this quantity appears highly unlikely in view of the price submitted. The tonnage is therefore not taken into account by the Indian authorities in the assessment of total purchases.
