Market quiet as buyers wait for prices to fall on sulphur

Activity is very low in the sulphuric acid market this week, with many buyers keeping to the sidelines in the expectation that prices will start to decline on falling sulphur values. The only country likely to buck this trend is Chile, on account of its dependence on the copper market rather than phosphate fertilizers. However, it is quite possible that even in Chile, spot business will remain at a modest level until the acid market is boosted by a fall in prices.
