India: PPL buys in mid-$110s/t CFR

PPL’s February 18 tender for 35,000 t sulphur was awarded around $115/t CFR, sources confirmed this week. India’s spot sulphur price is assessed down at $115-120/t CFR from $123-125/t. CIL is understood to be considering a purchase for April shipment of around 30,000 t, but has not yet entered the market with a requirement.
