US ammonia imports and exports during July-August 2019 declined 21% and 67% respectively from July-August 2018, according to the latest reports from the US Department of Commerce. Most of the overall decline in imports during the most recent months occurred during August, which fell 30% to 183,801 st (166,743 t) from 264,260 st (239,735 t) versus August 2018. This brought ammonia imports during the first two months of the current fertilizer to 400,341 st (363,187 t) versus 506,422 (459,423 t).
