Netbacks down on spot but up on lower freights

Potash producer netback price assessments were updated this week to reflect declines in spot prices in Brazil and Southeast Asia and lower global ocean freight rates. Standard MOP spot prices in Southeast Asia declined by $5/t on the upper end of the range to $270-280/t CFR, while granular MOP in Brazil was also down $5/t on the upper end at $290-295/t CFR. Granular MOP price indications in Southeast Asia are now indicated no higher than $300/t CFR compared with prior quotes of $300-305/t CFR.
