Ukraine: OPZ receives fresh payment from gas partner

Ukraine’s OPZ has received a fresh part payment from gas tolling partner Energy Equivalent as part of its plans to restart gas supply to its nitrogen plant. Funds paid so far are still considered insufficient to pay for gas, but staff were told their salaries up to the end of 2018 would be paid. Accordingly, regional sources are less sceptical this week that this latest agreement with OPZ will lead to a restart of its ammonia and urea lines despite substantial debts.
