U.S.FDA Delays Drug Facts Labeling for Sunscreens

The U.S.Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced it has delayed the May 16,2005,implementation date of the "Drug Facts' labeling rule as it applies to OTC sunscreen drug products,pending the outcome of future rulemaking.According to the Cosmetic,Toiletry and Fragrance Association (CTFA),this action is in response to requests made to defer labeling because of several sunscreen issues yet under consideration.
