China: Export price firms after production cuts

China’s indicative export price assessment increased at the low end this week as sources said production cuts and planned maintenance were supporting prices. Offers of Chinese material to India as high as $402/t CFR reflect around $383/t FOB China, excluding a margin for an intermediary. Still, one trader reported little-to-no appetite among China’s suppliers for export sales in the low $380s/t FOB.
