Sulphur prices remained under pressure, though there were only moderate declines recorded on published spot assessments this week as activity was limited by weak demand and producer resistance to further declines. The China CFR spot range was down to yet another new 10-year low at $165-168/t CFR from $165-170/t, as there was no sign of prices above $168/t CFR being achievable now, and even this level would be challenging. The assessment mid-point has fallen 51% since the start of 2019.
