Spot prices for sulphuric acid exports from Europe were assessed unchanged at $25-35/t FOB on an indicative basis, though some sources expect higher prices on any new sales. Some sources pegged prices $5-10/t higher based on tight availability for prompt volumes. Atlantic Copper is understood to have declared force majeure at its smelter in Spain. The smelter was expected to undergo maintenance in Q3, but the force majeure is expected to last for several weeks, removing additional tonnes.
