Chile: Lack of spot demand leaves assessment steady

Spot prices for sulphuric acid sales to Chile were assessed unchanged at $130-135/t CFR on an indicative basis, with no new sales reported. As has been the case in recent weeks, there were some market participants who argued for higher CFR levels based on high freight rates and traders’ locked-in FOB prices from the Far East, but this was offset by a lack of spot demand.
