Lipsticks seized in Vietnam as banned dyes cross Chinese border

Vietnam's government has ordered a nationwide crackdown on cosmetics of unknown origin after the carcinogenic industrial dye Sudan Red was discovered in two make-up brands from China.Lipsticks manufactured by the Heng Fang Cosmetic Co and Shilulan Cosmetic Co,of Shantou,Guangdong Province,China,were found in markets in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City,according to Thanh Nien News.
