CAMBODIA: Kris Energy has taken a final investment decision to develop the Apsara field in Block A, offshore Cambodia. The project is the first hydrocarbon development in the country, with first oil expected two years after the launch of the project. Reports suggest the block contains 3-5 Tcf of gas. CANADA: Cenovus Energy has agreed to sell its Palliser gas and oil assets in southeast Alberta to Torxen Energy and Schlumberger, in a deal worth USD 1.3 billion. The deal is expected to close in Q4, with the proceeds to be used to reduce Cenovus’ debt.
