Shell has sold its entire 13.28% stake in Woodside Petroleum. Two investment banks bought a 8.48% stake for USD 1.7 billion, leaving the Anglo-Dutch company with a 4.8% stake in the Australian company. Shell then sold the remaining stake "following strong demand from institutional investors". The sale, forming part of its USD 30 billion three-year divestment plan, will raise USD 2.7 billion when completed later this week.
