Online portal boosts third-party access to India's gas grid

India has taken a big step towards boosting natural gas trading on hubs or exchange-traded platforms with the launch of an online portal for the booking of common carrier capacity in transportation pipelines owned by GAIL – the nation’s largest integrated gas company. Launched by the petroleum and natural gas minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, the portal is the first of its kind in India’s gas sector.
