Seaspan and Swiber pile into burgeoning Vietnamese LNG-to-power space

Hong Kong-based containerships outfit Seaspan Corporation has unveiled plans to invest in a new LNG-to-power plant in Vietnam – potentially the country’s ninth – after signing an agreement with Singapore-based construction contractor Swiber Holdings. The development will include a 1.2 GW power plant plus a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) moored off the country’s south-east coast between Qui Nhon and Vung Tau, a source confirmed to Gas Matters Today.
