CHINA-AUSTRALIA: Icon Energy and Shantou SinoEnergy of China have mutually agreed to terminate an LNG sales agreement on 30 June 2018. Icon said neither party will complete the requirements of the conditions precedent set out in the 2011 deal, which would have seen Icon supply 2 mtpa of LNG over 20 years to the 3 mtpa Shantou LNG terminal, planned on Nan'ao Island near Shantou, Guangdong province.
