Oil Search shutters PNG LNG after massive quake wreaks havoc in Papua New Guinea

The PNG LNG plant has been shut down after a powerful 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck Papua New Guinea, damaging facilities associated with upstream and gas processing operations. The quake hit in the early hours of Monday with the epicentre about 96 km south-west of Mendi, capital of Southern Highlands province, followed by aftershocks throughout the country.
