EIB's new emissions funding criteria divides infrastructure operators and gas producers

The European Investment Bank's new policy to stop financing unabated gas projects from the end of 2021 has driven a wedge through the gas industry. Upstream producers strongly criticised the move for fear of losing market share, while gas pipeline and storage operators voiced support as the EIB might still fund the decarbonisation of their networks.
