摘要

The construction schedule of Gazprom's controversial Nord Stream 2 (NS2) pipeline - which would connect Russia directly with Germany and thus circumvent Ukraine - could be disrupted by a demand from the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) for an environmental study of a third possible route. NS2 spokesman Jens Mueller told Gas Matters Today: “The DEA has requested Nord Stream 2 to investigate an alternative route in the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) in the waters south of Bornholm between Poland and Denmark. The company will now carefully read the request and then decide what steps should be taken next.”
