Israel is preparing to begin shipments of natural gas from its offshore Tamar field in the next few weeks, once the due diligence on the East Mediterranean Gas (EMG) pipeline is complete and the deal is concluded, a source close to Delek Group told Gas Matters Today on Monday. Israeli media reported that shipments of Tamar gas would begin on 30 June, but that date is not solid as it is not yet clear when the pipeline agreement - which includes Israeli, US, Thai and Egyptian parties - will be finalised.
