摘要

Argentina's new left-leaning government has hiked export taxes on crude oil and natural gas in a bid to shore up deteriorating public finances. The tariff increase, reportedly from 6.7% to 12%, is seen as potentially hindering Argentina's efforts to accelerate gas and LNG exports. The new government, headed by Alberto Fernandez, issued decree 37/2019 on Saturday implementing a new fiscal regime containing “urgent measures” to address the “grave situation that public finances are going through”.
