摘要

US utility Duke Energy slumped to a net loss of USD 817 million in Q2'20 after taking a hit of USD 1.6 billion on the cancellation of its Atlantic Coast gas pipeline project (ACP). The company is now looking to redeploy capital from the defunct project into renewables and grid investments, in a bid to ensure adequacy of supply to the Carolinas region that was to be fed with shale gas via the 605-mile gas pipeline.
