Singapore LNG hires Total to install solar PV array to cut emissions at SLNG terminal

Total has won a contract from state-owned Singapore LNG (SLNG) to install solar power at the city-state’s sole LNG terminal, SLNG announced today. The move, part of SLNG’s'Green Strategy’, is modest in scale but illustrates growing industry interest in reducing the emissions intensity of the LNG value chain. Under the terms of the deal, subsidiary Total Solar Distributed Generation will finance, build and operate a 600 kW peak rooftop solar power system that will be installed across the rooftops of several buildings at the terminal in Jurong, SLNG said.
