European oil majors take CCUS bull by the horns with Net Zero Teesside project

European oil majors BP, Eni, Equinor, Shell and Total have taken over development of the Net Zero Teesside project, a carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) showcase planned to become the UK’s first zero carbon cluster in north-east England. The companies hope to demonstrate the viability of carbon sequestration technology upon which their respective long- term decarbonisation plans depend.
