Gas-starved US north-east states raise safety concerns over shipping LNG by rail

Attorneys general from 15 US states have opposed the Trump administration’s proposal to allow rail shipments of LNG, citing safety concerns. The opposition raises questions over New Fortress Energy’s proposed LNG export project in New Jersey, which has received a special permit to be fed with LNG by rail.
