Chevron’s Gorgon LNG project receives cooling cargo

Chevron has entered the final stages of commissioning of the Gorgon LNG plant’s first train, which is on track to load a first cargo in early 2016, the company confirmed on Friday, suggesting first exports could happen in weeks rather than months. The USD 54 billion plant this week received an initial LNG cargo for use in cooling infrastructure within the facility before commercial operations start, Chevron said.
