Reaction of 1,2-Anhydrosugars with Arynes: An Approach to 1,2-Dihydrobenzofuran-Fused C-Aryl Glycosides and C2-O-Phenolic Glycals

摘要

A one-step method for the synthesis of 1,2-dihydrobenzofuran- fused C-aryl glycosides and C2-O-phenolic glycals from the reaction of 1,2-anhydrosugars with in situ generated arynes has been developed. The glucal- and galactal-derived 1,2-anhydrosugars smoothly underwent the reaction to give the products in good yields. The C2-O-phenolic glycals could serve as new synthons in carbohydrate chemistry.
