Norway Nova gets go ahead

Wintershall and its partners have received approval from the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy for the Plan for Development and Operation (PDO) for the Nova field development project 120km northwest of Bergen, Norway. The PDO was submitted to the ministry in May 2018. Nova lies mostly in Production Licence 418 (PL 418). The approved development solution for the Nova field involves two subsea templates located on the ocean floor tied back to the nearby Gjoa platform, which is operated by Neptune Energy.
