Norway's Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) has given Aker BP consent to drill exploration well 7221/12-1 on the Svanefjeil prospect in Production Licence 659 (PL 659) in the Barents Sea. "We have now given the company consent to drill exploration well 7221/12-1 to investigate a prospect named Svanefjeil, around 65km north-northeast of the Snohvit field," said the PSA, adding that the planned spud date for the probe is this month.
