Aker BP has completed exploration well 15/6-16 S in Production Licence 777 (PL 777) offshore Norway as a dry hole. The well was drilled 10km north of the Gina Krog field and 220km west of Stavanger in the central part of the Norwegian North Sea. The well was drilled to respective vertical and measured depths below the sea surface of 4,162m (13,656ft) and 4,173m (13,692ft), and was terminated in the Skagerrak formation from the Late Triassic Age. The water depth at the well site is 116m (381ft). The well will now be permanently plugged and abandoned.
