A joint venture between KBR and state-owned Socar has landed a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contract for the topsides of the Absheron early production project in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea. The JV named Socar-KBR Limited Liability Company (SKLLC) was formed in 2015 to help further Azerbaijan’s ambition for creating an Azerbaijan-based engineering company.
